From the first pinch of porcelain clay to the final assembly, each flower passes through more than fifty steps in the hands of a Dehua artisan. Two firings. Endless patience. Small variations are not flaws—they are the signature of a piece made one at a time, by a craft that fewer than a hundred masters still practice.
This is intangible heritage, literally: the Dehua porcelain firing technique was inscribed on China’s national heritage list in 2006. The pinching method is its most demanding expression. To hold an Anteluxe bloom is to hold the continuation of something that nearly wasn’t.
